  1. Having read the guidelines, I now imagine this project will cost well, well into six figures. And that doesn't include any costs for discarding existing supplies of letterhead, business cards, etc., and then printing new ones.

  2. Guess we can thank new logo and this retarded marketing campaign for ensuring we have furloughs in q2 and q3. I feel such a swelling sense of pride for my place of employment now. NOT

  3. This has to be the most extravagant waste of money i have ever seen. who cares about a logo? Are readers rushing to the newspaper racks to snap up the historic first edition of the new logo? Are they storing copies for their grandchildren? Jeez...

  4. I can just imagine people playing with Word trying to figure out the proper spacing for a FOI request.

It appears that Pence is doing her job, but this a complete waste of time and money for a holding company to be doing this.

  5. Just think of all the jobs that were lost during the last 3 years to pay for this bullcrap.

You hit it on the head, 3:38 p.m. - I fail to see the logic, too. Not only that, but to find the most boring type-face for the lettering is beyond me. The money wasted is unbelievable and I can guarantee this will be expensive. To dismantle logos with new ones, business cards that every executive is carrying within the Crystal Palace, re-doing Presidents Rings etc.

The idea is not only lame - it's moronic. As the blogger before me so rightly stated: Who cares???

Congratulations, Ms. Pence, you successfully pulled the wool over the heads of the Gannett leadership (if this was your idea). Guess the bonus will be awesome this year - but hey, it's paid through furloughs. Who complains?
