St. George | Returning to GCI, Long named pub

Corporate just announced that Rhett Long has been named publisher of The Spectrum in St. George, Utah. He replaces Donnie Welch, who announced in March that he was leaving to start a local business.

Long comes from marketing supplies producer InnerWorkings, where he was vice president of national accounts. Previously, Long held several jobs with Gannett, including vice president of operations for Gannett Pacific Publications.

The Spectrum's Monday-Saturday circulation is 14,089, and Sunday is 17,399, according to the March 31 AAM report. (Circulation database lookup.)

  2. InnerWorkings has an office at the Crystal Palace, do we actually own a chunk of it or do they just have a real sweetheart deal with big G?

Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
