What Corporate is saying after Saridakis quit

"Gannett's digital business is very strong and continues to grow. We are very confident in the future outlook of our digital business."

-- top spokeswoman Robin Pence, speaking to Dow Jones Newswires yesterday, after Chief Digital Officer Chris Saridakis announced his resignation. It was his decision to leave and "the company wishes him well,'' Dow Jones said.

  3. Oddly, Gannett's inhouse e-mail newsletter (At Gannett) sent to employees today included a link to the Dow Jones story but NOT any official note about Saridakis.
