Why some publishers can't resist reading this blog

"You know that she keeps coming back to check on the comments. Guaranteed."

  1. The gift that just keeps on giving...The Daily Advertiser's executive editor left in January and has yet to be replaced. Today the managing editor...and the sports editor both announced they were leaving which leaves the newsroom's staff UNDER 21 (and we're not talking about minors). This miniscule staff puts out two dailies, a weekly and numerous monthly publications. No wonder the quality is what it is. It's humanly impossible to put out decent editorial so short staffed. And it just keeps getting worse. Will anyone please take note? There's a community here begging for journalism.

Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
