Today's announcement that CEO Susie Ellwood is moving to USA Today says only: "Ellwood's successor at Detroit Media Partnership will be announced Tuesday."

Patricia Kelly
ReplyDelete3:18 refers to the DMP's senior vice president for digital and client solutions, a post Kelly has held since March 2009, according to her LinkedIn profile.
ReplyDeleteAgree with 3:18. It will be Patricia Kelly. This has been in the works for a long time, probably since Hunke came onboard at USAT.

ReplyDeleteDMP's next leader will be a blast from the past. Derek Osenenko.
ReplyDeleteOsenenko is a monster.
ReplyDeleteDoubt it, on both counts.
ReplyDeleteTricia Kelly is an unimaginative bean counter that sucks the life out of small children and pets. I pity anyone who has to work with her.
ReplyDeleteThen again, it's just more of the "accountants in charge" mentality from Martore: Saleh, Maslowski, Motiff, and now Kelly. How ironic that the reins of the company are being given to the support staff.
In e-mails from readers, several people have suggested that Paul Anger -- currently the Freep's top editor -- could move up to CEO.
ReplyDeleteThat would be interesting. But Ed Humphrey is the guy, coming back home.
ReplyDeleteI'm told Hunke will be attending a 10 a.m. local time meeting in Detroit today to announce Ellwood's successor.
ReplyDeleteJim, Patricia Kelly actually was promoted last week to replace Janet Hasson who was named Publisher in Westchester.
ReplyDelete10:20 That would appear to rule her out.
ReplyDeleteYes it just happened last week. Here is a link.

Joyce Jenereaux is my guess...
