That's what well-known Gannett Blog tipster My Boss says in a new comment early this afternoon, writing: "U.S. Community Publishing is going to join the Yahoo Newspaper Consortium and they are not far from inking the deal with Yahoo."
The newspaper group formed by the big Internet portal company includes among its members virtually all the big-name newspaper publishers, but one: Gannett. The consortium aims to drive newspaper traffic by headlining stories on Yahoo's heavily-trafficked websites.

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
