Graphic shows yesterday's hour-by-hour visits (yellow) and pageviews (red) in hundreds, 12:01 a.m. until about 11:45 ET last night.

The busiest time of day is always 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET, when visits clock in at 300-400 per hour, and pageviews often hit 600-700, according to web tracker
Site Meter. You guys keep me busy!

I monitor traffic and comments, 24/7. Numbers above correspond to noteworthy posts earlier in the day, kicking traffic higher:

1. 11:55 a.m.: Amid reports of meetings at Corporate, what's up?
2. 3:17 p.m.: All TV division webmasters reportedly laid off
3. 4:47 p.m.: HR, marketing, TV web said hit with layoffs

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
