In New Jersey: first a paywall. Now, your purse

For the New Jersey Press Media Newspaper in Education program, it's come to this.

  1. Perhaps saddest of all, this fundraising event's refreshments will be "hot dogs and water."

  2. But...but...but we've got the Newseum! That should be education enough!

  3. Hot Dogs and Water?
    How Primitive!
And, too close to Bread and Water!
My, oh myyyyy have things changed!
    ... sigh

  4. 6:09 Newseum still afloat for now, until the gang running the place shakes out every dollar they can for themselves. They grabbed $5 million from Hewlett-Packard in 2010, resulting in a mediocre gallery the opened in April.

  5. Hot Dogs and water...Isn't that what they serve at the annual Nathan's Hot Dog eating contest? Are they inviting Joey Chestnut to the event?

  6. Yes, because they should be serving filet mignon at this event.
