I believe the Arizona Republic has done well in national contests for its coverage of the Gabby Giffords shooting.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a runnerup in breaking news and a winner for non-breaking narrative writing. Hardly a long list of national kudos.

Being on that committee must not be an easy job these days. Good reporting takes time, money and people; not something most papers are willing to do anymore.
ReplyDeleteThe APP's series about Barnegat Bay and efforts to clean it up is worthy of consideration, imo.
