Jim I'm not one that reads your blog much. I have never wrtten a word. I have found something funny that happened on your blog and our papers online website. A guy that worked at our local paper two years ago in 2008 still comments on our local website story chat under the name the windy one. Last week the pubisher announced he was leaving. This guy posted on the reasers chat area that the publisher should not let the door hit him in the butt on the way out. This caused an internal stir at our paper. Un meetings he had everyone talking about him. In fact the comments got removed after a manager pict62 he posted who he was on our papers chat area. Not sure how this individual got this information but itwas surely something found from the news room.He had this location so fired upthat comments flew all morning on your blog and on our website. Of of this past employees one post. I saw him this weekend and he laughed when I asked him about it. He said see I can still control the emotions of those at our paper and they know why I do. I find it really funny that after two years this person still post with the same name and doesn't care what anyone says. He said that he didn't read the comments after he posted. He said he did not know his information was posted on the chat section. He said it just shows that nothing is confidential as is stated to the readers and he said it was fine as he woes nobody anything. He also stated that obviously he got the last laugh again. This guy was a good worker but spoke up a lot and was not liked for it. He did have some issues in his life that really took a toll on his life. He came from a family with a lot of money so when he was let go it really didn't have any impact on him. Amazing this guy can still get the managers and publisher going after two years and they stoop to the level of telling other readers who he was on the website. I think he is the one getting the last laugh also. Think about it he got gannett employees to spend the morning in our town on your blog and on the papers comments section. Like he told me the other night just think what Gannett paid those employees to comment about my post durning work time. His comment was not a real good investment if you ask me. Anyway hope this makes your day as it did mine.

ReplyDeleteI talked to you for two minutes at target. A bit over kill on your post. You make it sound like we are best friends. I do not talk to you or anyone but one friend and we do not talk about business at all. This person is a good employee and works hard for Gannett and is very well liked wthin. This person gives me zero information as we compete against each other. I'm my own person and I do not depend on my family for income. When you are let go it is not as simple as calling Mom and Dad or other family members for money and asking to pay me for that week. My income is now enough to have a comfortable life and not worry about goals not being done on time or three weeks into the month. You can think I was let go for whatever reason you want. That is between me and those in the publsihers office on few occassions. The easy way to put it is I spoke up too much and was highly stressed it was not a good place for me. I even found out after the fact HR called my Doctor directly asking for information on me. CALLED MY DOCTOR! IT IS IN MY MEDICAL RECORDS and HER NAME (jean) IS DOCUMENTED in my medical file and no information was provided authorizing this. The doctors office did not provide the information requested. I had no idea this was done. Every single review I had was very good. Anyway don't run around telling others I said stuff I didn't Whoever pict62 is had their right to say what they wanted about me. They obviously felt they have some information that is relevant to their beliefs. I know what happened they did not sit in the publishers office while he blew his cork at me for having an anxiety issue which according to the ada is a medical protected issue. I will also say with out one manager giving me a chance years ago I would not be in the position I am today. I appreciate what she did for me and with out a lot of the staff and even a few I did not care for I would not have the expierence I have needed to move up in a new company. Some in that location believed in me and I still want everyone in that building to have a job. It is a not an easy road in this market. Anyway this is the true side of the story. If I see you in Target again keep walking. I was just recently told to check this blog out on this page. That is why I'm responding back. Thanks
