  2. HIGH-larious. No shirt, not shoes, no qualifications.

  3. On the left is Rudd Davis, head of BNQT and a member of Hunke's "strategy team." Or maybe it's Jeff Spiccoli. Hard to tell from the picture.

  4. Nemo...but what's he doing with that guy in the shorts?

  5. You are all wrong. That's Tom Curley, Bob Dubill and Al Neuharth planning the first edition of USAT.

  8. Davis reflects another one of the smart choices Hunke is making in his new leadership of USA Today. If you haven't done your resumes yet then start right away. But here's a hint: leave your experience blank, talk alot and say nothing and you might also get a big fat promotion and paystub just like Davis. Looks like Hunke is easily impressed. Whenever this transformation finally gets announced we'll always this picture of Davis to come back to and assure us we are all in good hands.

Heck, maybe 5:47 is the one enjoying Nemo's company?

  16. If the Gannettoids had pairs, they would hard-copy quiz "Kid Einstein" about what was in his product (e.g., news content).

Five gets you one, he doesn't read the hard-copy product. Or know where South Dakota is.

    Doomed.

  17. I am not a regular blog reader. And I am not exactly following these comments or inside jokes. But please don't tell me one of these idiots in this photo is now a VP with USA Today. Please tell me mainstream journalism, or any other once honorable business, isn't coming to this.

  18. What's the big deal? So they guy has a life outside the world of corporate BS. If this is what passes as big news inside the newsroom it is no wonder we in the public get such drivel in the news pages.

Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones.
