Tech 101 | Gannett using more Web telecom

It's noteworthy that editorial isn't the only department now using the generally free Internet-based "telephone" calling system, Skype.

The newly emerged memo on reorganizing customer support for the Gannett Production Centers (GPCs) references Skype addresses for newspapers to use in contacting the new traffic teams.

Sparky and I have Skyped quite a bit over the past year. Nothing has given me greater pleasure than to stick it to AT&T, which has consistently given me awful service, despite my being a very big customer at times.
