USAT wins Association of Food Journalists honors

USA Today -- comprising reporters Elizabeth Weise, Blake Morrison, Peter Eisler and Anthony DeBarros -- is one of three winners in the category of Best Newspaper Special Food Project. In its announcement today, the professional association did not describe the project, however. (Can anyone at USAT provide details?)

The other two winners are St. Petersburg Times and the Kansas City Star. The placement of the winners (first, second or third) will be announced at AFJ’s annual conference in Santa Fe, N.M., on Sept. 2.

  1. Congrats to everyone involved. It's still possible to do good work, and it's nice to see some folks within Gannett being recognized.
