Scanning Gannett's Metromix pages today, I noticed that more than a few had taken the bait (and, now, I have, too) by publishing those controversial contestant photos for the Miss USA 2010 Pageant, owned by that impresario of good taste, Donald Trump.
The Reno Gazette-Journal cut right to the chase in its introduction to its collection of 103 (!) pics: "A gallery of swimsuits, evening gowns and as little text as humanly possible." (And BTW, among the judges this week in Las Vegas: Miss USA 2006 Tara Conner. Really! I'm not making up that familiar-sounding name.)

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
