Louisville | Upcoming statement from publisher

The Courier-Journal says it expects to broadcast a statement by Publisher Arnie Garson about today's press failure, leading to a nearly total bust on this morning's run of the Kentucky Derby edition. In its notice, C-J isn't saying when the broadcast will start. But the paper's Twitter feed says it was supposed to have begun at 5 p.m.

  1. You think the publisher is going to apologize for cutting those maintenance people? Corporate is running these presses into the ground, and I would not be surprised to hear of other catastrophes like this one. That's what happens when you don't maintain machines, or eliminate the jobs of those who do these chores.
