  1. Not sure if JJ Cooke writes his enlightening column for both the CN and the HNT, but today's column must not be missed. We are used to the baby language, such as "boo-hoo wah-wah" but today we are given the information that he doesn't give "two craps" about the prom.
Can't Gannett do a little better than this level of writing?

  2. J Cooke has a distinctive voice, something sorely lacking in the NJ Group newspapers. But you go on ahead and hate. That's what makes you feel good.

  4. I find JJ Cooke's style of writing extremely frustrating and boring. Sorry JJ. It is what it is.

  5. Anything new going on with our friends down at the Courier-Post? It's been rather quiet on this blog about that place.

  6. Can anyone tell me the fate of the Editors from Morristown who had to apply for their jobs at the APP?

  7. Some of the Morristown people (I don't want to name names, in case they don't want to be mentioned) did get hired at APP. Clearly, though, it wasn't many, as there were far more "applicants" than positions.

  9. 10:29 AM.... Sorry you took offense! Are you Nay-Nay or The Old Man or Babbles? I see that you DO give two craps!

  10. 10:35 AM... Well, boo frickin hoo! If you don't like it, don't ready deedy do it! 10:29 said I have a distinctive voice, something sorely lacking in the NJ group. So stop picking on me just because I am a black Catholic who graduated from Temple and also went to a Christian Brothers high school and have a brother far more handsome than I am, and have had my heart broken by so many women. Everytime a new female starts working at the paper (although dat has not happened in a long time) I try to make them feel loved and wanted.

  12. Imagine a Soul Train line dance... Wearing spandex tights because he wants us to see the helmet, JJC comes down the line spinning PG's $5,000 chair with PG in it cackelling. JJC moves out front and does the funky chicken. PG keeps spinning and cackelling. They alternate positions and their eyes are locked. All that and sponsored by Afro-Sheen.

  14. Did anyone notice that the APP's vending machine signs say that "Restarants" are being featured in the summer guide?

Is it the same in ads and other advertising materials?

  15. "NEW JERSEY ROCKS" YES THE " NEW DELIVERY PROS" AT THE APP ARE TAKING IT ON THE CHIN . NOTHING MORE PATHETIC THEN WATCHING THE "PROS"DELIVER A ONCE GOOD NEWSPAPER AND SCREW IT UP SILLY.

  18. JJC plays the JJC game. It's all about being JJC. There is nothing else of any importance.
