Furcations | I'm taking off until Monday

I'll keep an eye on comments, but that's it! See you next week. (That photo is me, last summer, on Ibiza. My friend Mike took it during a July visit; you can almost see his reflection in the sunglasses.)

  6. Good for you, Jim - enjoy your time off.

You had the guts to show up at that ugly glass palace this week and face those geeks - job well done.

    And do what?

Speaking of that, can someone tell me the actual, specific, real, something I can see that is tangible results this blog has ever produced? I mean, seriously, besides being theraputic for some people to complain and cry about things, what does this blog actuqally accomplish? And don't tell me information because I can never figure out what is real and what is an illusion until something actually happens. I can't even tell that when something doesn't happen because I'm never sure when it actually should happen.

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
