Travel tips: 36 hours in Palm Springs, Calif.
This southern California winter resort was once the Hollywood getaway that Malibu is now: a place for '60s movers and shakers to eat, drink and sunbathe poolside, while they awaited calls from studio execs, The New York Times says today, in a new story: "After some hard-earned changes, the desert town nestled in the Coachella Valley is becoming a destination for laid-back cool once again."

Looks like a nice place for a well paid top Gannett executive to visit during his or her furlough. The rest of us can work a part-time job during that week, if one can find part-time work.
ReplyDelete36 hours? Was it worth the effort?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteGreat place to visit, but I can't afford to live there. Just like the rest of California.
