  1. Don't link to it from this post. Wouldn't want to make it easy on the readers!

  4. You really REALLY need to distinguish between this people a personal blog and a professional Gannett blog. If you want it to be personal then make it personal. But if it's Gannett then don't post what you're doing right now. First rule of blogging.

And you will probably censor this but hey you were employed by Gannett.

  6. I'm not a registered member of Twitter.
Also, when I stroll over there to see what Jim is doing "right now," I can't seem to update the initial link/page. Stuff I see is left over from the corporate cruise Jim took recently.
Do I need to register to see the updates? New stuff?
I know, it isn't trendy to ask these questions about cutting edge popular technology, but if I don't ask how will I ever learn?

  7. If you go to twitter.com and when you see What is Twitter? go down to the bottom and click on search. I just entered gannettblog and got the real time tweets.

  9. Forums and blogs are powerful tools to let the voiceless be heard. Sometimes the debates and discussions can get heated or ugly. We have to have a high tolerance for debate while at the same time insisting on a certain amount of civility.

interesting statementabove, Jim, that you cited as part of corporate policy regarding company blogs. Will you follow the same principles here if you see something you don't like, rather than refuse to post it? Please answer...

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
