Say goodbye to Corporate's 'Daily News Summary'
In a comment, a reader says: "Got word today that the Daily News Summary from Corporate -- that useless compilation of grafs and links to media news -- is being discontinued as of Friday. I guess it took them a while to discover Romenesko and Google News alerts."

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."

It's gone. Guess they got tired of publishing bad news after bad news.

The Daily News Summary will be discontinued on Friday, Nov. 21, but all the latest news about Gannett will still be available at gannett.gci gannett.gci . Gannett’s intranet is full of information about the company so take time to explore it. Continue to send your news by e-mail to Bill Landauer or Laura Dalton, or by going to the “Send us your item” tab.
I'm pretty sure that most of the hard news on this blog isn't on gannett.gci.
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo! One less thing to delete from my inbox. It's funny, because I was just thinking the other day about whether the compilers of the news summary would be laid off. Of course, I really don't know the intricacies of what goes into fashioning the thing.
