If you have some time take the ferry from Athens to Mykonos for the beaches - Super Paradise and Paradise - and Santorini for the spectacular scenery. Mykonos has decent bus system, and you can get to Paradise of 1.6 Euro, or you can take one of the local small boats that will take you to Super Paradise. In Santorini make sure you stop in Oia - picture postcard perfect.
