As a rival 'retools,' the downside of free software
Talk about navel gazing! These days, anyone with a computer and Internet access can start a blog about a blog -- about a blog.

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."

ReplyDeleteyes, they really should probably stop letting any fool with a web connection and a computer make a blog
Gannettblogsucks must be set up by some directer of something at Gannet becouse the site doesn't even work. Much like most of the stuff the upper tier comes up with,
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to do what Jim Hopkins doesn't not do. I'm starting http://gannettblogsucksblogreallysucks-sucks.blogspot.com.
ReplyDeleteOK, seriously, Jim - way to not take yourself, or the Grand Exulted Blogoshpere, too seriously. It isn't permanent.
@ gannettblogsucks - I totally agree. Not any fool should be able to start a blog, I'm sick of this avalanche of 'dis-information' constantly bombarding me.
ReplyDeleteI think what we should do is create a government agency that licenses who is allowed to publish online. Maybe this could be a branch of the FCC. In fact, why don't we do that with all publishing? Make people register for a Xerox operators license to run a copy machine. It would certainly make it easier to make money from publishing, now wouldn't it?
Cause after all, that's what the freedom of speech is really about - money. Right?
2:44. What??
ReplyDeleteSuck this!
ReplyDelete2:44 I am laughing my ass off at the sarcasm
