  1. Good morning, ladies and gentlemen of the HNT, CN, APP, DR, CP and CJ.
If you are a brave soul perhaps you will take a moment to give your location and tell the lowest thing (aside from general layoffs) that Gannett has done to you or another employee at your location.

To balance it out, if at all possible, try to also list one of the best things.

If you hesitate to do it from work, this evening will work fine.

Remember, there are millions of stories flying around cyberspace about Gannett. We're never sure if the good ones or the bad ones are valid. Hearing from you can be a great asset to all of us in this NJ state of mind!

    Thank you!

  2. Hey NJ - did the APP reinstate the fishing & boating section? I sure hope so.

  3. WORST THING:
Cut Carrier Sunday delivery compensation 6 years ago from $0.28 to $0.23 AND NEVER since 1997 Take-Over increased compensation. How would any of you feel with 11 Years of NO COST OF LIVING ADJUSTMENT.

    BEST THING:
    Laid me off.

  5. BEST THING: Having a genuine pride in working for a respected newspaper (CN).

WORST THING: Watching the deterioration and coming to the realization that working here was a very bad error career move. With the seriously lacking editorial "talent" we now have, it is astounding that the publication is printed at all.

  6. BEST THING: I got a free Mac from the old supplys of Macs from the APP storage. :)
WORST THING: It probaby was last used by a fellow worker laid off last year! :(
All in all: Gannett is still evil

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
