When divorce is like the aftermath of a layoff

Couples heading for Splitsville are getting even -- by launching blogs, The New York Times reports this morning, in a Page One story that felt eerily familiar to yours truly. "In an era when more than one in 10 adult Internet users in the United States have blogs,'' the NYT says, citing the Pew Internet and American Life Project for that alarming statistic, "many people are using the Web to tell their side of a marital saga. Despite the legal end of a marriage, the confessions can stretch toward eternity in a steady stream of enraged or despondent postings."

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
