Quotable: Pay's for play -- not just for showing up

"This shouldn't be like the fourth-grade soccer team, where everybody gets a trophy."

  1. It's interesting when you look at innovative, profitable companies like Apple, and Google. How much their CEO make and what they receive as a bonus - $0.

I often wonder is the CEO really the smartest person in the room, or do they just have everyone thinking that? I guess it doesn't matter when companies are still losing money, and they are rewarded (by their friends on the board, no less) as richly as they are.
