So far, I haven't written squat about Newsquest on this blog -- and that's not good. Here, at least, is the boilerplate: "Newsquest publishes 17 daily paid-for newspapers and almost 300 non-daily publications in the U.K.,'' the annual report says. "Newsquest operates its publishing activities around regional centers to maximize the use of management, finance, printing and personnel resources."
Newsquest staffers: This blog is for you, too! Use this link to e-mail feedback, tips, snarky letters, etc. See Tipsters Anonymous Policy in the sidebar, upper right. Or leave a note in the comments section, below.

You're going to piss off the Brits. That's would be Her (Britannic) Majesty The Queen. In detail she is styled (at least in her role of Queen Regent of Great Britain): "Elizabeth the Second, by the Grace of God, of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and of Her other Realms and Territories Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, Defender of the Faith.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm pretty sure the Queen doesn't have a last name. Her House is the House of Windsor (from George V) and in 1960 the Queen declared that her direct decendents (excluding married females) would carry the name of Mountbatten-Windsor.
Thanks. Just as important, of course, is the age-old question: What does she carry in her pocketbook?
