About 600 Honolulu Advertiser workers are steeling for a strike vote this Sunday as a dispute with Gannett enters a critical phase. "The sticking point for a lot of the union members is a substandard pay increase and at the same time making them pay considerably more for the healthcare," Wayne Cahill of the Hawaiian Newspaper Guild told KHON-TV.

ReplyDeletei think they would be fools to strike. this is the stupid union mentality. The last I checked, the only other jobs in hawaii are working at a pig roast or being a tour guide at the pineapple factory. hmm....come to think of it, maybe I should be happy I have a job.
