At a reader's request, I've added a "state" column to the spreadsheet I'm using to track the current round of layoffs, so you can see state-by-state trends.
Although the online version in Google Documents is read-only, you can download a copy in several popular formats -- including Microsoft Excel -- so you can sort the results however you like.
Simply click on "file" in the upper left hand corner, select "download," and then choose your preferred format.
