  1. Judi Terzotis won instant goodwill in Shreveport Friday:

    Effective Monday, May 13th, Times staff can park in the side lot AFTER 5 p.m. Monday, the side doors will be programmed to provide staff access. It’s imperative that we keep the lot open for customers before 5 pm. Please only park in the lot after 5 pm.

    1. When I read about the Shreveport employees all I think of now is whining because of a parking space and whining because you're not a favorite of the publisher. How about working and putting out a paper worth reading?

    The current economic upheaval is taking a toll on publishing companies, and The New York Times Company (NYT) is no exception. During first-quarter 2013, total advertising revenue slid 11.2%, whereas print advertising fell 13.3%. Total classified advertising dropped 10.9%.

  4. This is amusing. At my site, there was limited parking and employees were instructed to not park their vehicles in the spaces labeled "Customer." Yet they did so repeatedly, their little "Employee" stickers visible in every windshield. No, not the occasional salesperson who understandably would have a strong motivation to disregard the instructions: they'd only be there for a minute or so and then zoom back out (we had a really good sales staff!). But others would sit there all day, for that's where the trees for shade were. (They chopped down all the trees in the parking lot proper, sweet!)

    And then no one ever did anything about it. I mentioned it, curious as well coming from a customer-friendly standpoint, and was told to mind my own business. Go team.

    1. At our property, the retail manager parks every day in the customer service lot and her car sits there all day while she rides with her sales team.

    3. Oh-hoho, 3:05, keepin it classy. Its people like you, the Holier Than Thou set, that have NO PROBLEM with inequity, especially since you fill your pockets at the toil of others. What happened to you, and why did you become a weasel? Cleanse yourself.

    5. It's hard not to notice when customers/clients have to use a paid parking lot in order to give business to the newspaper, when all the FREE customer service spaces are taken up by employees

    6. @ 11:30, what if these same people are carrying the load for slackers...it's very disturbing. I'm guessing you might be one of those with tunnel vision! You will have a rude awakening when your number is up.
