With stocks overall soaring to new highs today, Gannett's GCI closed moments ago at $20.85 a share, up 39 cents or 1.9%, after trading earlier in the day at $21. That was also the highest "intraday" trading price since shares bottomed out in March 2009 at $1.85 at the depths of the Great Recession.
