Over the past month, I've received donations via PayPal totaling $105. But what makes those especially gratifying: They came from readers who contributed for many years.
In Florida, a reader donated $40, the 11th time he's contributed since summer 2010. In Kentucky, meanwhile, a reader gave me $20, her fourth gift over the past two years. A third reader gives $5 at the start of every month.
Make no mistake, though: Donations of all sizes make a difference. So far in the current quarter, I've taken in:
- Reader donations: $112
- Advertising: $475
