USAT | What's missing from the paper? An ad

It turns out that Hurricane Sandy tore off both the "A" and the "D" from the USA Today sign atop the newspaper's tower at Corporate's headquarters in McLean, Va. How the new "dynamic" logo might have been adjusted in print today (thought it wasn't):

  3. What's missing from the paper: soul, comraderie, recognition of solid work, experienced beat reporters and respected middle and upper level managers. We can do without the missing letters and daily self serving hype about how "great' we are.

  4. Lets consolidate remaining letters. GAS TODAY.

  6. US TO AY?

Were the letters really blown off or is this a sneak peek at a poorly conceived name for a new Spanish language edition?

  7. 8:37...Amen!

USA Today is a complete mess. Spiraling downward in every meaningful way possible for the past five years.

Sickens me because this was once a decent place to work with quality people who knew what the hell they were doing and weren't just one-trick ponies with nice smiles.

  9. Usa Today has had a series of piss poor editors and incompetents. callaway will ultimately get rid of the ass kissers and pretenders. Kramer is a good showman who should be able to recruit decent hires from the Times and Wall Street Journal.

  10. Good luck with hiring. Candidates will barely be able to supress laughter when they meet senior "leadership."
