USAT | Nearing 30th, Garcia measures its clout

This week, newspaper design guru Mario Garcia reminisces about USA Today and "how it has forever changed our idea of newspaper design."

Today, in Part 1, Garcia presents J. Ford Huffman's early work guiding design of the paper's prototypes leading to its launch 30 years ago this coming Saturday.
