USAT | 'Swear to God, these were her exact words'

"Never heard of it. Is that a magazine?
 Or a newspaper?"

-- an unidentified Food Lion store employee, in a remark to newspaper design blogger Charles Apple, who visited at least 19 locations in the Virginia Beach, Va., area in a fruitless search for today's first edition of the redesigned USA Today. In a LOL-if-it-weren't-so-sad post chronicling his hunt, Apple says no papers were delivered to any of the locations he checked.
