Stock | Corporate to meet Wall Street Thursday

That's according to a just-issued news release, saying top management will make a presentation at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia Conference on Thursday at 3:45 p.m. ET. The event will be webcast, and is open to the public in listen-only mode. Details in the release.

Of particular interest: an update on the paywall that's now getting installed across the U.S. newspaper division.

This may be the first time Corporate is attending this meeting; I can't find it listed in previous presentations.

Management will be meeting a friendly audience: GCI's stock has been storming higher for weeks now. It recently traded for $17.62, flat so far this morning -- but up 75% from a year ago vs. a far smaller 20% gain in the S&P 500 index, according to Google Finance.

  1. Will be interesting to see if Martore can actually tell Wall Street about actual, sustainable revenue and earnings growth beyond fourth quarter. No flimflam, no b.s., no stupid mumbo jumbo.

Now if she could just do that with her employees now and then, too, think how people would respond.
