Since announcing a new fundraising challenge by a generous Gannett Blogger in Alabama, I've now received a $20 gift from a reader who's remained anonymous, and a $10 one from a reader in Texas.
My Alabama fan has agreed to a 1:2 match for every dollar in contributions I receive through the end of the month, up to a total match of $200. So, they're adding $15 to the $30 in donations I've just taken in.
Combined with advertising, this brings me to 64% of my quarterly goal. But with just 11 days remaining, I've got a long, l-o-n-g way to go. The breakdown so far:
