Corporate said today it will release third-quarter financial results two weeks from today. The release, before stock markets open, will be followed by a 10 a.m. ET conference call with media stock analysts.
The call is open to the public on a listen-only basis, and will be accessible live via Webcast and through a limited number of listen-only, dial-in conference lines. Materials related to the call will be available at that time through the Investor Relations section of Gannett's website, www.gannett.com.
Barring his unexpected return, the earnings release and call will be the first since Chairman and CEO Craig Dubow took a medical leave of absence, announced Sept. 15. COO Gracia Martore is serving in his place as principal executive.
Also, this could be an occasion for CFO Paul Saleh to take a more public role in speaking to analysts; he was named GCI's top finance executive last November. To the best of my knowledge, Saleh has yet to be heard on an earnings call; that's unusual for a CFO.

Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones.
