Asbury Park | Dubow reportedly sets Aug. 23 visit

In an e-mail, a reader just told me: "CEO Craig Dubow and other senior Gannett officers will be visiting the Asbury Park Press on Tuesday, Aug. 23. They will be conducting a town-hall style meeting in the Neptune auditorium at 3:30 p.m. Save the date and time."

  1. Too bad he isn't coming to Cherry Hill. There's plenty of empty space in the newsroom to fit his ego.

  2. I was told once that former GM CEO Roger Smith, the Roger of Michael Moore's "Roger and Me," went to tour a Flint assembly plant once. The guard outside the gate warned him not to go in, but Roger insisted. As soon as he entered, he was pelted with nuts and bolts and whatever else thrown by angry workers.

    Just a thought.

  3. The blowhard EE will be in top form. He desperately wants out of Jersey and will be stroking Dubow every step of his visit. A VP job at HQ would do the trick.

  4. Dubow is coming to our place next week. Incredible amount of time being wasted by OC types and others preparing a dog & pony show presentation

  5. I hope the local convenience stores load up on chap stick. The butt kissers will be in full force. It will be three stages of butt kissing. Stage one kissing managements butt preparing for the arrival, stage two when CD is actually there and stage three congratulating each other on how good his visit was. I remember Skip Hidlay saying "Craig Dubow is a great man'' not a good leader, boss etc., but a great man. I threw up in my mouth. It's that cult like mentality that kills the company.
