Here are the new ABC numbers for most papers

You can now search for your daily's new, March 31 circulation figures, using this Audit Bureau of Circulations look-up tool. Previously, the only data publicly available was for the top 50 papers.

  1. A hat tip to a Gannett Blogger for telling us these new figures are now available!

  2. Not every paper is listed. My current paper is not. 2 of my former papers are not. 3 are. So 50-50.

  4. To 1:28 PM, maybe the "missing" papers didn't report to ABC or other reasons, such as not wanting to report since their numbers are so terrible. And remember, these new ABC numbers are under the "new" reporting methodology, not just the historical print product. At my paper, I know that the print numbers have fallen dramatically again, yet the number showing in the March ABC is somewhat higher. Either phoney numbers or they've reported everything including the website and other unimportant data. Again, at my paper, they've always lied about the numbers and have increased the scam more of late as the paper continues the dramatic circulation decline.

  5. Please pull all of the Gannett numbers in a list for simple reading. While the comparison with the old comes with an asterisk, having those numbers would be a good soft comparison .. It would be ABC to ABC regarding what advertisers reference.

  6. The loss of daily circulation of the Asbury Park Press is nothing short of impressive.

  7. Why in some cases would the Saturday circ be so much higher than the Mon-Fri circ?

There are no substantial coupons on Saturdays, the Saturday paper is traditionally the smallest of the week, etc.

  8. Where's the Poughkeepsie Journal? Is that included in Westchester these days?

  10. @9:34 The Poughkeepsie Journal is listed it's under Jounal Poughkeepsie find it by state. Also 9:24 depending what paper your speaking of some paper's have a Sat/Sun frequency which increases the Sat. numbers also add to that a Sat/Sun and Mon frequency and that will explain the increase for a Saturday edition. I hope that helps!

At the Arizona Republic, Saturday is the 2nd largest paper, Sunday the largest, its that way with most large city papers.
