That's only $154 per day! Think outside the box, what can you giver your readers to make them want to throw money your way? I want something tangible - box of rice a roni or something.
ReplyDeleteSo basically your loyal readers, as a collective group, have sent you $12 a day give or take? Now there is a business model. Congrats!
ReplyDeletetheoretical conflict of interest question of the day...if dubow sent you a check for $5K would you take it and if you did would you publish that fact? what if he asked you to keep it anonymous? discuss among yourselves
ReplyDeleteoh come on - why wouldn't you take it? Deposit it and once it clears, then publish the fact. I wouldn't send a thank you note though.

ReplyDeleteI couldn't take it because 1) I'd report it to all of you, and 2) No matter what I did after that, many readers would believe I was compromising my reporting to favor a major supporter.
ReplyDeleteI wouidn't worry about anyone thinking you would favor a Gannett leader no matter how much money they sent you. Fair and balanced doesn't bring play well in your arena. A good Gracia put down is always worth a few bucks to you. It plays well with your peeps
ReplyDeleteKa-ching. 3:00pm just won himself a 20!

Suck it up folks. Today was payday - skip a coffee next week and throw Jim a 5 spot. You will never miss it.
ReplyDeletePlus it could be your good deed of the day while you still have a job that allows for financial good deeds.
