  3. Don't you think GCI still has all these vacancies because Martore wants to be and is in control of everything? She most likely wants it this way and controls Dubow as well.

  4. Jim,
Don't forget Kevin Lefew the SVP of Technology at Gannett Digital. Most of the problems were are having with privacy issues, hackers and other things is what Kevin Lefew used to handle. Today there is no one.

  6. I'm getting tired of doing job searches on CareerBuilder and bunches of jobs in my area of expertise pop up for Gannett. Gannett didn't think I was important enough to hold onto, yet they still continue to print the products that I worked to build and keep the SAME EXACT styles I created. Why on earth would I want to work for such a rinky dink company, again?

  7. LOL. Lefew handled the hackers? He just sat around and pontificated.

  8. If you use your @gannett.com email to set up a search in CareerBuilder, your H.R. director knows immediately, and your superior knows as soon as H.R. can find them to narc you out.

    Fair warning.

  9. It's not just the crystal palace that has job openings. At my site in the mid atlantic we have quite a few. I don't know if it's us or HR just being really slow. But if this is a pattern through all of Gannettland it can only mean one thing. Layoffs are coming.

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
