The Bold Italic | Now, on Gannett's edgy new site

From GCI's experimental San Francisco entertainment website:

A 6-foot-tall drag queen's advice on fashion. Sniffing out the city's perfume scene. And a tour of "industry'' watering holes (like: where reporters get drunk).

  1. I just checked out the site and it's amazingly un-GCI and I like it. Why can't they use this cleverness of design and content across the Empire?

Oh...when will Emperor DuBois and Darth Martore learn?

If you scroll down to the cupcake story and more following...you will see Mary Specht, she is a Gannett Digital employee in TYS

  3. What is the business model? To destroy newspapers? Who is behind this childish website anyway?

  4. The is the brain child of Michael Mandyass and Laura Ramos. Apparently they are on some corporate spending spree at the request of the President, COO, and CFO Gracia Martore.

This is the old DIG team. They also have renamed themselves "11g". Where does one get that name you might ask? Well is is appropriately named after the floor that they are located on. Are why is that important you are wondering? Well "11" is the same floor as Craig and Gracia an "g" stands for the "G"annett tower!

  5. You know this is a wonderful site. I stumbled upon it and now am going there often. It's edgy and fun. It's not the daily newspaper, but it is not supposed to be. I find it entertaining and can't wait for the next cool story.
