Reminder: Q4 earnings, and two conference calls

Today's a busy day in Gannettland, with the following events on the schedule; all times are Eastern:
  • 8:30 a.m. (approximately): The company discloses fourth-quarter sales and profits; an earnings statement should hit business news distribution services by this time. Also, look for the statement on Corporate's homepage, and on the site's investor relations section.
  • 9:30 a.m.: Investors give initial reaction to the financial results when Wall Street stock trading starts. Check GCI's stock here, or in the stock widget in the green sidebar, upper right.
  • 10 a.m.: CEO Craig Dubow and Chief Financial Officer Gracia Martore host a conference call with Wall Street media stock analysts to discuss results for the quarter, and offer a glimpse of the current quarter. The call is open to the public.
  • 1 p.m.: Dubow hosts a second conference call, this time with Gannett employees, presumably also to discuss the quarterly results, plus any other developments.
I expect to listen to the conference call with the analysts. But I likely won't post the earnings results in a very timely fashion, because they'll be released around 5:30 a.m. Pacific time, where I live -- way too early. I'll post your reactions and other comments as quickly as I can.

Please post your replies in the comments section, below. To e-mail confidentially, write jimhopkins[at]gmail[dot-com]; see Tipsters Anonymous Policy in the rail, upper right.

Jim says: "Proceed with caution; this is a free-for-all comment zone. I try to correct or clarify incorrect information. But I can't catch everything. Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
