Hattiesburg | Why newspaper didn't chase Woods
Gannett's Hattiesburg American newspaper got a tip last week that golfer Tiger Woods (left) was being treated at a sex-addition clinic in the Mississippi city. The paper was unable to confirm the information, editors say, and only covered the story when other media descended on the town. "There is a fine line between covering Woods when he wrecks his car and extending coverage when and if he gets treatment,'' the paper explained today in an editorial.

Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."

Love the way they called Radaronline an obscure website (with a US traffic rank of 545) and the paper's own website ranks 33,822 according to Alexa. I think the paper is the one with the obscure website.
