[Short note he just posted to his website]
We just spoke briefly by telephone. I feared this might happen, because he was in an especially vulnerable state. I'll tell you more about what this means for his site, once I know more.
For those of you just joining us, Gannettoid.com is the site where I plan to direct my traffic, once I close this blog for good at midnight ET tomorrow. When it rains, it . . . just sucks.
Holy Toledo Batman...
ReplyDeleteSadness!!!!! I hope it wasn't because they knew about his extracurricular activities.
ReplyDelete(I guess he can devote more time to the site...?)
Wow. I wasn't able to see the note on Gannettoid, but I'm so sorry. As we've all been thanking Jim for his stellar efforts to keep us informed (when our soulless corporate bosses would rather keep us in the dark), we should all be thanking you, too, Gannettoid, for jumping into the fray. Those of us in Westchester are on pins and needles for the next month or so while we await our fates. Thanks again, Jim, and Gannettoid! Prayers, blessings and peace to you and yours ...
ReplyDeleteOMG. I'm so sorry, for everyone's sake.
ReplyDeleteNo way!
ReplyDeleteWho ran it??
Did they target him?
ReplyDeleteSo now what? Jim, can you keep Gannett Blog going one more week?
ReplyDeleteGod Jim, "just sucks" is the tip of the iceberg. Stay cool, Gannettoid. Much thanks to the both of you.
ReplyDeleteInky, on Gannottoid.
Whaaaaaaa???????
ReplyDeleteDamn, poor guy. Better off, we all are. Wish him the best.

Looks like we may have found our next Jim.
ReplyDeleteunfricking believable. do you think they knew?
ReplyDeletemaybe the new, high priced corporate flack will start providing information....not!!!!
ReplyDeleteGannettoid, sorry about your job loss. I figured you no longer worked at a Gannett site.
ReplyDeletePlease don't go the Hopkins route by channeling your bitterness into your site. Let it be about others, not yourself.
I'd even pay a fee for that - as I did here before some people went off the deep end.
