  3. so whats going on at the
    courier post?
i herd their doing away with the
    classified section a couple days
a week. advertisers will love that.

  4. They might as well do away with the classified section...there is nothing in it and nobody wants to advertise there. Maybe they'll let more people in classified go to save more $$. There aren't many ads in this paper in general. The adv department is inept and it's not all the economy. Time to clean house and start all over with people who have some creativity and brains. On the other hand, who would work here if they have brains.

  9. 3:16 is another example of how much the NJ papers are the same. The poster might as well have been writing about the CN/HNT! Same story there!

  10. What's the CP Sports Department like these days? Anastasia's been gone for a year now, are those souls as depressed and defeated as the rest of the paper's staff?

  11. Speaking of the CN/HNT they missed a significant story: Joe Paterno hinted at Rutgers possibly joining the Big Ten.

  14. CP update:
    EJ's on furlough.
The Classified was cut on Monday and Tuesday.
The sports jocks still sit there and copy and paste from the wire.
The sales reps still spend most of their days planning their lunches.
Nothing changes and the wrong people get laid off.
Just awaiting third quarter cuts/furloghs/layoff announcements.

Surely you mean, "If it wasn't for the sales reps..."

'Weren't' is not a real word...

As far as the sales reps go, don't get in the way at 5pm on Friday - you're likely to get flattened by the stampede.
