Question from those who have been there, done that!
ReplyDeleteIn NJ, when your initial unemployment benefits run out, the web mentions some way they have of asking you to prove your employment search with verifiable attempts. Is this what is really done, and how can the sending out of resumes be proven? Especially with older people, is it even realistic to expect an extensive search?
Thanks for the advice!

ReplyDeleteFrom: 10:21 AM... Once again, thanks for the advice and the benefit of your experience. Gannett treats us like garbage, and we then treat each other as non-entities! They are winning!
ReplyDeleteresponding to 10:21..your local unemployment office will call those specific companies that you indicated and verify that you did indeed send a resume to them.
ReplyDelete10:21 am... I don't think you have to prove anything to get the extension. I think it's automatic. At least I hope it is since I'm in the same boat thanks to the huns I used to work for.
