USA Today: In thanks, 'walking back through time'
When Mark Memmott joined Gannett in May 1979 at The Saratogian, he was initially stationed at a vacationing reporter's desk. He noticed her photo right away. "She looked like someone I wanted to get to know. I didn't know how wonderful and lucky it would turn out," he writes in a special Mark Says Thanks blog, devoted to colleagues over the years. Now a USA Today blogger, Memmott is leaving for National Public Radio; today is his last day.
