Gannett Blog declares top-winning whiner!

[Founder Gannett, actress Bates]

Moments ago, the first-ever Frank E. Gannett Memorial Biggest Whiner Trophy was awarded to Anonymous@9:56 a.m., for mastering the extremely challenging task of repeatedly copying and pasting the same three words: "You suck, Jim."

Now, paraphrasing that memorable Kathy Bates line in 1991's Fried Green Tomatoes, "Face it, I'm older and I control the delete key."

  6. Hey, back off on NJ. If you paid Jersey's insane taxes and dealt with their clueless managers, you'd whine too.

  7. That's where New Jersey posters go wrong.
    Everybody pays insane taxes.
Everybody has moronic supervisors (although I have to say that the New Jersey crowd is obsessed by finding fault with theirs).
But NOBODY posting here whines so much about so little as the New Jersey bunch.
Not even the "winnah" we are celebrating here. It must be something in the water.
Glad I never worked for a Gannett New Jersey paper. It would have been hard not to buy into the rank and file's misery.

  8. agree with 7:04... I am sure management at NJ same as any other newspaper, some good some bad. NJ tends to want the rest of the company to feel sorry for them and throw a big poor poor NJ rank and file pity party. Everthing is just so much worse in NJ. Grow up NJ, same for all of us...

Please keep your posts focused on Gannett and media-related subjects. Note that I occasionally review comments in advance, to reject inappropriate ones. And I ignore hostile posters, and recommend you do, too."
