GCI on furlough: Markets closed for Good Friday
That's why Gannett's stock price is unchanged, top of green rail, right.

Earlier in this decade I asked my investment adviser if buying stock in GCI was a good bet since my wife at the time (now my ex-) worked fulltime for the company and I was working as a part time copy editor.
ReplyDeleteHe suggested not to buy, but to "hold" any stock we might already have.
I'm glad we didn't have any though I guess Gannett can confidently say "at least we're not McClatchy!"
Here's a thought — with stock prices so low, why not simply offer shares with the purchase of the daily newspaper. In McClatchy's case it's a 1:1 deal right now.
